Ringo woke up, had a horrible dream.
Was I really abducted? Where is George? John? Paul? Where am I?
Getting off the bed with his shorts on, he opened the window blinds. Light entered, brightened up the room. It was so bright that he immediately closed his eyes, turned away from the sunlight, rubbing it
“Blasted sunlight.”
As he put his shirt on, he went downstairs for breakfast. In the dining room, he saw his friends, sipping coffee, reading the newspaper. He called their attention as he took out a cereal and a pitcher of milk, placing it on the table.
“What brings you here?”
Lowering the newspaper, the three that were completely and neatly dressed up, look at him sternly, and answered altogether: “We shared the same room, Ringo.”
“Shared? Same room?”
“Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten.” George reminded, whacked his head lightly by the hand. “Hello, we slept here sometimes when the sessions in the studio took longer that the usual days.”
“Okay.”
Ringo thought, while eating his cereal. Everything seemed fine. Nothing unusual happened. Paul went to the window side in the living room, took out his cigarette, and opened the window. John took a table napkin cleaned his glasses and went back to reading the paper. George approached Paul, took out his tobacco and lit it. Momentarily, John reminded:
“Hey, hurry up. You’re the only one left who hadn’t taken the shower yet.”
“I know.” Ringo replied, quickly munching his food. “Let me finish eating first!”
“Okay and don’t talk when the mouth is full.” He teased.
“F-fine.”
As soon as Ringo finished eating, he went back to the room, took some clothes from the closet and towel, and moved directly to the bathroom. Placing it the clothes in one side and the towel in the hanger, he entered the shower, closed the shower door. As he turned the shower on, water came out, soaked him. He thought for awhile whether he was dreaming or not.
“This is only just a dream. Just a dream.”
Few minutes later, as soon as he took his towel from the hanger and wiped his face, he began to wear his clothes in one side. While dressing up, he looked at himself at the mirror, reminded himself in 1964.
“Not too shabby... A bit grand.” He complimented as he brushed his teeth.
Before going out, he found a note in his pocket, written:
“Look for us before it is too late.”
Puzzled, he hid the note for awhile where he found it. Going out of the room, straight away to the dining room, everything was empty. He was alone. Noticing the note coming from them on top of the coffee table, he read:
“We’ll be out for awhile. Don’t go anywhere.”
He sat down on the couch, still smelled the scent of tobacco earlier, and began to breathe deeply. He shut his eyes for awhile, recalled the dream earlier. It was a bizarre. He looked at his reflection in the mirror. His image spoke to him: ‘Get out of this place right now! Danger awaits you here if you stayed longer!’. Later, darkness engulfed him. He struggled yet, it was useless.
While Ringo moaned, shook, someone called his name. He woke up as Paul entered along with George and John.
“Oh guys, thanks for waking me up.”
“The session is postponed.” Paul announced, sat beside him. “It is moved tomorrow.”
“Yeah. Our manager said so.” John added, noticed his outfit and teased him. “Hey, Ringo have you went back to time?”
“Time?”
“I mean you’re outfit.” He pointed out. “We’re living in ’67!”
“Yeah, so?”
Everyone remained silent. Ringo stood up, went outside, yet, George called him not to go outside. He pondered.
“If I do, then what?” He asked as he went near to the door leading outside. “Tell me, what happens next?”
The entire room disappeared. John and Paul slowly disappeared, leaving the two behind. Ringo suddenly recalled his dream earlier, felt the tension. As George slowly approached him, darkness came in.
“So, Rings, does this remind you of something?” He asked as the tone changed, much more different compared to the original. “You should have followed what they say.”
Ringo slowly engulfed him into the darkness, he held tight on the knob, trying to open the door. As it opened, he pulled himself up, entering the next area, yet, his friend grabbed his leg. He resisted, kicked his face. The grip released, he went inside. As he shut the door, he found the others in the studio, completely exhausted while leaning on the door.
