After seeing each other in the studio, everyone signaled whether everything’s alright. Once all of them raised their thumbs high, they went to the center of the studio, laid down on the floor. They took few deep breaths.
“What happened to the night before?” Ringo asked, rose up and sat.
“Beats me,” George answered, searching for something in his pocket. “At least, we’re out from our respective places, if you know what I am referring to.”
Meanwhile, as John and Paul buttoned their clothes, they looked at each other suddenly, eye to eye, had an argument.
“What were you thinking, Paul?!” John complained, pointed his finger at Paul’s face.
“Huh?”
“Don’t play dumb with me.” He continued, pulled his friend’s blouse up. “You were trying to undress–”
“You undress?” Paul grinned, glared at him, pulled John’s blouse up and explained. “You’re the one who undressed my clothes, plus, you had such malicious thoughts!”
“Malicious thoughts, you say? Ha, Excuses! You’re thinking those mischievous things, Macca.”
“Come on, Johnny. You’re denying it. I know you really like doing it…”
“Am not, Paulie. You are.”
While arguing, George and Ringo watched them on the sidelines, whispering to each other on how to end this crazy argument. Later, one of them took a pair of drumsticks near the drums, placed it into his pocket, and went back. He exclaimed:
“Two lovers were fighting about some bizarre dream.”
“I concur, Rings.” George nodded with agreement. “Those guys were meant to be together.”
The argument did not stop. He signaled his buddy to whack their head with his drumsticks. Ringo approached John and Paul, hit their heads with his sticks. The two stopped argued, pulled him down, and made a violent reaction.
“What did you do that for?!” They complained altogether, rubbing their heads with their other hands.
“As you can see,” He explained. “It seems that you guys have a wonderful time while we are stuck here in this place, not knowing what is exactly going on.”
“Besides, I didn’t know that you two had a good time together…” George interrupted, grinned.
They looked at each other, felt embarrassed and replied: “Knock it off guys and stay out of it.”
Once they cooled themselves down, George requested everyone to share what happened to them before they meet here. Ringo started his story first, followed by his, then Paul and finally John. Two hours past, everyone became silent, looked at each other, pondering about their stories. It seemed that their dreams were almost connected in some sort. They wanted to ask several questions, yet, seeing the musical instruments around the studio, they stood up, took their equipment, played two songs. Music filled in the room. While Paul played the grand piano, John and George rocked out with their electric guitars and Ringo drummed his very own drum set. Later, Paul took out his bass guitar and started the next song. While playing, the room changed into a stage. They felt nostalgic for awhile. After the last song, as they placed their instruments to its proper places, the room returned to its original from, however, a strange yet fancy door suddenly appeared. George noticed it for awhile, called everyone whether they’ve seen it before they play. They looked at it, shook their heads. No clue. As the four doors where they came here suddenly opened, Smoke came, slowly filling up the entire studio. John ordered everyone to go to that odd-looking door.
-----
As they entered, they found themselves in a field. Turning back, the door disappeared into the thin air. Somehow, they remembered this place. They found a tree and a destroyed piano. The strings were still hanging on the branches.
“Does this remind you of…?”
“Strawberry Field?” John muttered, quite remembered something. “It hasn’t changed a bit, I suppose.”
“You could see the sparkling strings.” George mentioned, touched the strings.
Moments later, the group lied down on the grass, reminisced.
“I was wondering.” Paul spoke, pulled his tie up. “Why are we wearing our old outfit?”
“Beats me… yet, somehow, it feels like we’re in the old days, Paul.” John answered; saw a butterfly landed on Ringo’s nose.
“Shoo, Butterfly, Shoo!” Ringo rose up, swung his hands back and forth.
Everyone laughed. He lied down once again, pouting, rubbing his nose. Minutes past, everyone relaxed, humming their composed songs. It was a perfect time to rest, however, John and George felt that something is not right. Both of them rose up.
“Lads.” John called, doubtful of this place. “We better get moving. I have a bad feeling about this.”
“Bad?” Ringo replied, looked sluggish. “What bad?”
“This place… there’s something in this place….”
“Quit whining, Johnny.” Paul interrupted, as his eyes, slowly shut. “We haven’t rested for awhile, you know. This is just what I need–”
“Macca! Don’t sleep!” George reminded as he began to sleep.
As Ringo lied down once again, fell asleep, John pulled Paul up, slapped his face few times to wake him up. Nothing happened.
“It’s not working, John.” George reminded, felt suddenly tired.
“Get Ringo now. Let’s go.”
He carried Ringo as John carried Paul, rushed out, looking for the exit. They reminded of something from a story.
“Don’t tell me it’s like a pop–”
“Less talking, more running.” He reminded, placing the body in his arms.
Reaching towards the gate, he opened it, kicked it afterwards. As they went out, they found themselves in a white area. The two dropped what they carried to the ground, completely puzzled. Paul and Ringo woke up, felt the pain on their backs.
“Hey, what the–”
“Wait.” Ringo stood up, surveyed the surroundings, mentioned. “This reminds me of something, sort of a white room.”
“White room?”
John thought something. Instantly, a woman appeared beside him, perfectly the same as his wife.
“Oh, hey, dear!” He called, hugged her.
Paul and George looked at them suspiciously. For awhile, two people whom they knew appeared. They were surprised. Afterwards, Ringo had an idea. Their musical instruments appeared from nowhere. He called his friends to play something. George, John and Paul took their guitars, as he went to his drums, began to play. The room abruptly filled out with several colors. A car popped out in front of them.
“It’s working.” He mentioned, told them to go to the car.
“Can we bring–”
“It’ll eventually disappear, John.”
After playing, they went inside the car. George took the driver’s seat as Paul took the front passenger seat. Ringo and John sat down on the back passenger seats. As the car moved, they went out of the area through a fancy gate.
---------
Arriving at a city, they thought that they’ve went back to the same place. However, it seemed dark, gloomy and lifeless compared to earlier. Going out of the car, the car suddenly disappeared.
“Back again in Liverpool.” John mentioned, shoved his hand.
“Are you sure?” George wondered, quite doubtful
“It is.”
Looking at their left, they saw a Gothic Cathedral, surrounded by several gravestones. Everyone felt uneasy, knew something.
