Untitled 2 Introduction

The news was on. The famous musician has been shot few times by his own insane fan. Thousands of people, majority of it are his fans, crowded all over the place, seeing the entire crime scene. Paul, completely shocked of the entire event, went to his music studio and wept bitterly. As he sat down beside his piano, he wanted to express his true feelings, but then again, it is too late. It seemed that a part of him has been lost. As his wife slowly opened the door, checking him, he immediately told her.

“Dear, I want to be alone… for a while.”

She quietly shut the door, leaving him inside. An hour past, he stopped crying, rubbed his eyes. He opened the piano cover and played a sad tune. While playing, he could not resist remembering the previous events together with John from the early days until the last time he visited him. He wept, slamming his hands on the piano keys, finally blurted out all of his feelings. He wouldn’t care whether the children or his wife heard what he’d mentioned. After a while, he regained his composure, covered the piano and went out of the studio. His wife looked at him as he passed by, concerned.

“Paul.” She called as he took his jacket and car keys. “Where are you going?”

“I’m going out for a while.”

“What time are you coming back?”

“I’ll be very late.”

As he bid farewell to his wife, he went to his car, drove to the graveyard in Liverpool. Along the way, clouds covered the sky. Rain poured heavily suddenly. Turning the car wipers and the car lights on, a person suddenly crossed the road. He stepped on the breaks. The car screeched, almost crashed to any sort of an obstacle. Looking outside, no one was around. Minutes later, he parked it on one street, went out to the cemetery while covering him with an umbrella. Going to the old hang-out, he saw a strange visitor, sitting beside on the tombstone, seemed waiting for someone.

“What are you doing here?” The man spoke, gave him a piercing look.

“Just visiting.”

“Oh.”

As the man left, Paul went to the old meeting place. For awhile, tears came out from his eyes once again. He sniffed.

“I wanted to tell you something for a long time, but—”

“But what?”

Turning around, he saw nothing. He must have thought that someone’s following, but, he wouldn’t bother. Thirty minutes later, while going back to his car across the street, he felt uncanny of his surroundings. Then, he went home.

Back to his house, his wife, on the doorstep, stood up, waiting. As he parked the car, he approached her, gave her a kiss though he was drenched from the rain.

“Feeling alright?”

“A bit.” He replied softly, had another kiss. “However—”

“I know dear.”

After spending his time with his family, hours past, he went to bed early.
