The entire town was entirely bright. Lights lit inside the pumpkins, lampposts and in candles. Children went on every house, trick or treating. From a distance, there was an old white Victorian house in a hill. Neither a person or passed nor visited by a regular folk. Sometimes, some young children went to the place, and never came back on the following day. Inside of that house, there is a man in formal attire, quite unsatisfied with the activities of the outside world, drank a glass of red wine. Moments later, he found some children outside, throwing tissue rolls on his property. Though people had pranks on him, he remain is composure, went to his attic, for some reason.
As the night came, the town became much more festive. John and Ringo hung out with the ladies in one corner while Paul and George sat on the other side, talking about certain matters as the other girls came towards them. Moments later, the other two approached them.
“Hey, do you think that we’re a bit… out of place?” Paul stood up, asked as he came near to John. “It seems that the people here wear costumes.”
“Don’t be silly, Paul.” John replied, touched his shoulder. “We don’t need costumes. After all, we’re famous, with and without costumes.”
“I do agree with Paul.” Ringo added, agreeing with his friend’s comment. “It’s Halloween after all.”
“Fine.” He mentioned, scratched his head. “So, where do we find one anyway?”
Upon hearing the conversation, a fine looking woman, offered something for them. Then, another girl came through the crowd, made an offer. Moments later, two ladies came, had another proposal.
“Wow.” George smiled, went beside Paul, and whispered. “I didn’t know that the townsfolk here are hospitable.”
“I know.” His friend replied, and then switched back to John. “Is it alright for—“
“Thank you ladies for your generous, offering, but—”
Looking at the crowd, then to his mates, he sighed rolled his eyes, accepted.
“Thanks, John!” The three thanked.
“Yeah…” he replied, reminded them. “As long as we mustn’t forget what we are—”
The girls dragged the four suddenly, separating from each other, went to different places. In the first house, the fine looking woman gave Ringo a wolf mascot outfit.
“It fits you perfectly.”
Ringo, quite uncomfortable, asked. “Is it alright if I just use my suit—”
“Wearing a suit inside a mascot outfit is hotter than wearing nothing inside.”
“Wearing… nothing… inside…?” he replied, quite surprised.
“If you don’t want, I’ll just give you the Wolf’s mask and the paws?”
“That would be great.” He answered, receiving it. “Thank you, Miss!”
In the other building, in one room, the girls powdered and placed the make-up on John’s face. For awhile, another woman came, carrying the stitched type costume.
“Frankenstein, huh?” John smirked upon looking his reflection on the mirror, then on the costume.
“You don’t like it?”
“It’s not that I’d hate it.” He explained, took the costume. “I want to try on it. Anyway, where’s Paul?”
“Other room.” One woman answered. “Changing”
As he changed the outfit, the woman placed an imitation of a large screw on his head. Meanwhile, in the other room, after Paul changed his outfit, the girls approached him, fixed his hair up and gave the half opera mask. For awhile, he looked himself on the mirror, saw his reflection in awe.
“I do look like the one in the Phantom of the Opera.” He complimented, thanked the ladies.
In another house, as George dressed his costume up, one lady put the make-up on his face. Moments later, he slowly rubbed his face, she reminded.
“Don’t scratch your face.”
He paused. She continued, asked. “Are you allergic with make-up?”
“No, ma’am. It is just that I don’t get use to make up.”
Once the group has done changing, they went back to where they were, carrying their instruments, except Ringo’s. Upon encountering, they noticed that their drummer didn’t change a thing.
“Where’s you costume, Ring” George asked.
“Well, I do wear something—”
“Really, or is it that you’re afraid to see your—”
“John!” Ringo mentioned, quite upset, worn a wolf mask and a pair of paw gloves. “Happy?”
“Aww, you’re cute, little doggy woggy.”
Paul and George snickered, they became serious.
“Shall we play?”
“Fine.”
Going to their respective positions on stage, John made the introduction. Then, few seconds later, the band started playing. Meanwhile, in the old white Victorian house, the man heard the band singing, though he stayed in the attic for some time. He slyly smiled, went to an object covered with white cloth. As he removed it, he turned the device on, pressed some buttons. Dark clouds covered the skies. It didn’t rain, however, lighting came out.
Coincidentally, that happened right after the performance. While the band chilled out, George looked up, noticed the dark clouds, producing thundering sounds. A lightning flashed in few inches, almost hit Paul. John and Ringo were quite surprised, witnessed it.
“What’s with you guys?” Paul wondered on their facial expression. “Is there something wrong?”
“Err… nothing!” Ringo answered, waving his hands. “Really, it’s nothing!”
“Nice dodge, you had there, Paul.” John added, quite amazed.
“Huh?”
“Actually,” George explained, looked at them and reminded. “A lightning almost hit you. We have to go as well.”
As the lightning struck once again, the Four rushed, searching for a nearby cover. Along the way, they saw people screaming like crazy, as if they look like the real creatures based on their costumes. Other began to act too differently.
“This is worse than I thought.” John mentioned as they’ve reached a building.
Upon entering, they immediately closed the pathway. While he and Ringo were busy, putting the blockade, Paul went to the washroom as George watched the other end of the hallway. Suddenly, he looked back, noticed that Ringo looked like his original self.
“Come on.“ he said, sighed. “Remember, I was wearing a werewolf costume.”
“More like props to me.” John mentioned, teasing him.
In few moments, they heard Paul’s voice, screaming. Going inside the washroom, they saw his portion of the face disfigured.
“Wait a minute…”
As George checked his teeth and John looked the stitches in his face and body, they were completely shocked.
“It can’t be!!!!” Both of them shouted.
Ringo looked at them strangely, scratching his nose. “What’s next? Acting based on what you are wearing right now?”
A ghost passed through the wall told them the answer. Turning around where the voice came from, they saw a ghost, ran away, escaping the building. Minutes after running, they paused for awhile, catching their breath, Ringo and George noticed Paul and John acted strangely. Paul recited some word in theatrical way while he placed the mask on the face, covering the deformed portion of his face. John spoke something related to Science. Momentarily, George felt the pain inside of his body, as if he wanted to do something about it. He began to mutter the words, ‘I need blood’, in his mouth while he folded his arms, looked down.
“Guys, snap out of it!” Ringo reminded everyone.
The three looked at him, somehow envied his appearance, stated. “You’re lucky. You’re normal.”
“Thank yo— wait a minute. What’s with you—”
“You look charming, good sir. After al, you have such perfect face.” Paul complimented
“Cut with the drama.” George hissed, lunged at him, held his head, almost bit his neck, yet, John pulled him away.
“Any bright Ideas?” he asked, let him go.
“We could ask some… people around.” Ringo answered, checked his surroundings.
While looking for somebody to ask about the entire situation, George disappeared suddenly as Paul was searching for the ‘girl’. Several minutes later, the four came back, began discussing what they found. Knowing that the other two didn’t do anything, Ringo sighed, yet, George and Paul complained, found the old white Victorian house on the uphill.
“One townsfolk mentioned abut the house uphill.” George added, could not take his eyes off on the house.
“What about it?”
“We should pay him a visit.” John answered, went on ahead.
The other three followed.
